Itinerary Overview: 6 Day Rwanda Adventure Safaris
Day 1: Pickup from Kigali airport
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Third day: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 4: Gorilla trekking
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking, and canopy walk at Nyungwe National Park

Day 1: Airport pick up at Kigali International Airport
At your arriver, our driver guide is ready to transfer you to your booked accommodation. Take a city tour to Kigali city globally recognized as the Africa’s cleanest city. Go to the local market and Genocide memorial museum for memories of the merciless massacre of the early 1990s in Rwanda.l Rwanda, Craft market and the busy Local City Market of Kimironko.
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera national park
Today following your served breakfast, will drive to the eastern of Rwanda to Akagera national park around the boarders of Rwanda and Tanzania. Reaching the park head for the parks most rewarding game drive. The scenic game drive rewards with wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, bushbuck, kob, oribi, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, lions. Black rhinos were also reintroduced among many wildlife species accompanied by several birding species.
Have lunch refreshments after a game drive and be ready for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema that happens to be the biggest Lake among many found in Akagera National Park. This will uncover you to a variety of nature. Lots of aquatic wildlife such as Hippos, Nile Crocodiles and lots of bird species are common sightings while on a boat safari. Other games such as Buffaloes, Elephants and Antelopes can be sighted along the lake banks grazing and drawing water. Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Following your breakfast, can take on another game drive to track looking for as many wildlife and taking the beautiful morning wildlife photographs. Among the many to sight include Buffaloes, Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, Antelopes, Zebras and sighting Leopards on a lucky day. The drive can last between 2/3 hours. Then drive to southern Rwanda, the region with landscape that portrait Rwanda the land of thousand hill, with lunch en-route reach Volcanoes National Park, the home of endangered mountain gorillas. Accommodation options: Da Vinci (Budget Option), Mountain View Gorilla Lodge (Mid Budget Option) and Wilderness Safaris Bisate Lodge (Luxury Option).
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking
Start a day with well served breakfast at 6am, drive Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing and distribution to the gorilla family to trek. Fully packed with drinking water at least 2 liters, packed lunch or food, rain gear. Also not forget sun lotion, bud spray, gloves, hiking boots long pants and long-sleeved shirts, The trek will be led by an armed ranger into the thick and rolling forest to trek the apes.
The fact is that even the ranger doesn’t know where to find the gorilla, rather have follow them from where they were last seen the previous day. Its why the trek can last for 2-6 hours, and encountering the apes have a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of the mountain gorillas. The eye-to-eye contact with the silverback is forever a lifetime experience. Drive to Nyungwe forest national park about 4 hours. Dinner and overnight: Gisakura guest house (Budget Option), Nyungwe top view hill hotel (Mid-Range Option), One and only Nyungwe house (Luxury Option).
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking Safaris and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park
This day after breakfast, check in with park at the Gisakura reception center for the morning chimpanzee tracking adventure. Tracking chimpanzees here can last for 2-4 hours and have an hour interacting with the jungle giant. Taking photographs maintaining a distance of 7m. After encountering of the apes have lunch break, and head for a specular canopy walking which starts at Uwinka. This canopy walk will enable you have spectacular views of the untouched natural forest and amazing sights of Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight: Gisakura guest house (Budget Option). Nyungwe top view hill hotel (Mid-Range Option), One and only Nyungwe house (Luxury Option).
Day 6: Transfer back to Kigali
Today have your relaxed breakfast, then late morning hours set on your drive to Kigali. Drop off will be at either your preferred hotel or Kigali airport for your scheduled flight.
